    Army officer sword sin-gunto type 94, model 1934. Meiji period. Presumably the master of Kanefusa, 兼 房, Fujiwara Kanefusa saku, who is the 23rd generation heir to the first Kanefusa who worked during World War II, a direct descendant of the famous line of Muromachi jidai masters. Fujiwara Kanefusa was born in 1900. During the Shoua period, he studied with Kato Jumyo and worked in Seki (Mino present-day Gifu Prefecture). During the Second World War, the master produced many swords for military and civilian officials. During this period, Fujiwara Kanefusa received many awards at sword exhibitions and competitions. In 1941 (Slab) the master took 1st place at the National Exhibition of Swords. He was assigned to the Kibin no Retzu in 1942 by Kurihara Hikosaburo at Tosho Banzuka (J. Kim).
