The centre of the scene is dominated by two large trees, immediately in front of a group of men putting the finishing touches to a hayrick, or haystack. In the background is the gathering storm. The etching itself measures 138 mm (5.5 inches) wide and 114 mm (4.5 inches) high. It would date from the mid 1920's.
