    An early 20th Century English chronometer in a gold open face case. Spotted half plate keyless movement with going barrel. Spotted cock with diamond endstone, freesprung compensation balance with blue steel helical hairspring.

    English spring detent chronometer escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape pivots with endstones. . and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.

    Substantial plain 18 carat open face case, maker's mark "PW" in an oval, number corresponding to that on the movement.

    Circa 1909 Signed M W Edwards Norwich A fine late example of English watchmaking in a heavy gold case.
