English School. Late 19th century, 1898, fine quality portrait watercolour of a young lady in working clothes.
In a good cross-cornered frame. We removed it briefly from the frame to clean the glass and check for a signature.
No name but is dated May '98 (1898) verso. 26.5 x 21.5 cm, frame overall 42 x 37 cm.

There is some reflection in the glazing on the photographs, apologies. Some photos were taken whilst it was briefly out of its frame for glass cleaning.
